Jacob Collins came to the Springville Museum of Art to jury the museum’s 83rd Annual Spring Salon. While in Utah he also gave a lecture on his art, ending with a question/answer session. He is an exceptional artist and it was a rare opportunity to hear him her in the west. His artwork is beautiful. My only wish is that he would have brought some of his originals so that we could have seen them firsthand.
Jeffrey Hein gave a live head painting demo of Dick Nourse of KSLTV 5 News at William’s Fine Art Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s a wonderful opportunity when an artist, especially of Hein’s caliber, gives an open invitation to watch a painting session. My only disappointment of the evening is that it started an hour earlier (out of necessity) than planned. Still worth the watch.
